Sintered Tabular Alumina: Premium-Grade Corundum Solution
Engineered for Extreme Thermal Environments
sintered tabular alumina is a high-purity sintered α-alumina material characterized by its excellent thermal shock resistance, low porosity, and high refractoriness. It is produced by sintering calcined alumina at ultra-high temperatures without additives, resulting in a well-developed tabular (plate-like) crystal structure.
High bulk density and mechanical strength
Excellent thermal shock and wear resistance
Low porosity, high chemical stability
Outstanding performance in high-temperature environments
Sintered Tabular alumina serves as a premium aggregate in the production of shaped refractory bricks and unshaped monolithic materials such as castables and plastics. It is widely used in the following critical high-temperature areas:
― Steel industry: ladle working linings, slide gate plates, tundish nozzles, purging plugs
― Non-ferrous metallurgy: electrolytic cell linings, anode furnace linings, copper launder systems
― Glass industry: regenerator checkers, burner blocks, superstructure bricks
― Cement and ceramic kilns: rotary kiln sintering zones, preheater linings
― Petrochemical industry: reformer linings, gasifier castables, burner zones
― Foundry applications: investment casting molds, refractory coatings, ladle castables
